Part 2 - A FAUSTIAN PREROGATIVE - INTANGIBLE MATERIALITY

THE CONFLICTED SELF AND THE PARANORMAL

INTANGIBLE MATERIALITY

"When dealing with the insane, the best method is to pretend to be sane."
-Hermann Hesse

By the very fact that you are reading what I type onto this laptop informs you immediately
how this particular tale ended prior to its being unwound
for you to experience safely, at a distance.

In Part One, I began this tale embedded within a theme of both self valuation and the
valuation of the paranormal experience as many of you that have had paranormal experiences
will readily attest to those who have an armchair interest, these two facets of our quest calling
or simple curiosity, are so tightly wound into a Gordian Knot... one is reminded or perhaps
dimly aware that at some point we wonder that in the deep thrall of our collective
sleep someone has affixed our signatory upon an oath and contract that once one agrees
to follow the trail of the white rabbit and his cohorts.... one finds that a simple letter of
resignation or an oath to depart this realm is not an option.

One begins to see a dim image of oneself has having made a poor bargain at some point,
as we all do, as if Faust looks over our shoulder and sighs while whispering...
"even I could have told you that."

All of this began with my own valuation of this continuing exploration
of the anomalous which was sent to the tipping point when my family began
to be provoked by strange phenomenon which also corresponded in time
to similar events occurring with me some several states away.
