Filming the skies in infrared when caught UFO above neighbors house

I first got into UFO's through watching various footage on the internet site You Tube. One night I watched the 2005 UFO Conference with Jaime Maussan and became very intrigued by the information given about UFO capture in infrared, and decided to purchase a camcorder.

After a summer of trying out various filters and lenses, the latest addition, a 1000nm infrared filter (which I was using for the first time), combined with UV filter 0.45X wide angle lens tele-convertor 2.0X lens, I happened to make my catch.

I was in the garden generally filming the sky trying out various sun positions and filming techniques. After 30minutes or so watching the sky filming this and that, I decided to watch the footage that I had captured, on my laptop.

When watching the footage that I had recorded, I suddenly saw something that I had previously looked over in the garden. Upon seeing the object on my computer screen, I then realized that I had caught something rather special. My initial reaction when seeing this anomaly was almost a sense of disbelief.  Then the satisfaction of actually catching it on film set in.

After several viewings of the said footage, I felt a feeling of unease and a little unsettled because I was unsure whether the I was watching the object, or, the object was watching me!  (Comment:  Very common experience by many that observe a UFO)

I would estimate the object being no more than 50-80ft above the roof-tops of the neighboring houses.  The object appeared as a fairly round ball of light, with no hard edges, approximately 6-10ft in diameter. As you can see from the footage, it hovered for several seconds before accelerating at a very high speed upwards into the sky, before disappearing out of sight.

Sighting: May or June 2008 – OBAN, SCOTLAND

Thought I'd send this photo of what might be a UFO

It may just be the sun setting. However, that same weekend a British newspaper ran a front page story which focused on a large number of UFO sighting in Scotland and England.

There seems to be a bluish tower or light above the orange orb. There also seems to be some distortion around the area.

The location was Oban on the west coast of northern Scotland, and was taken facing west over the sea. I wasn't aware of the object until I looked at the photos later in the week.

Sighting: August 8th and 9th, 2008 – RIO BRAVO TAMAULIPAS, MEXICO

The photograph were taken in Rio Bravo, Tamaulipas, Mexico, between the days of August 8 and 9, 2008. The photographer, along with other family members, witnessed the unknown objects. The submitter used a Steady Shot Sony to take the pictures.

The witness often watches the skies from the balcony of his home in Rio Bravo. The photographs were taken and submitted by Jose Alonso Galicia Fabela.

Reported: 2008-08-29 Sighted: 2008-08-12 - PENNSYLVANIA

Didn't notice until after viewing digital photos. I was photographing the farmlands while riding the Strasburg R.R. with my wife and son.

When we reviewed the photos on our laptop, two of them had unusual objects in the sky. They appear to be two views of the same object. We noticed nothing in the sky while taking the photos.

The object doesn't appear to be an anomaly on the lens, and it doesn't look like a bird or any aircraft I am familiar with, but I am no expert.

Reported: 2008-08-29 Sighted: 2007-08-13 – LEE VINING, CALIFORNIA

Conical object noticed on a picture of lenticular clouds near Yosemite Park.

I was touring the United States on my Harley and had just crossed the Yosemite Park in the morning of the August 13th 2007.
I was sitting at a table in a restaurant in Lee Vining, California.  By the window beside me, I was seeing lenticular clouds over the Tioga Pass nearby.  I took a picture of those clouds through the window.  I know that this type of cloud is sometimes mistakenly believed to be UFOs.   It is just lately when I look back at that picture that I found that dark conical object seeming to hover over it in the center of the picture.  I thought it may be a fly that was on the window when I took the picture but the zooming of the object reveals clearly light and shadow on it that could not be a fly on a window.

I have to admit that when I found it I was and I am still very excited about it.  As I did not even notice it when I took the picture, I cannot tell how it was moving or if it was making any sound, etc.

Looking at a map I saw that the place is just about 150 miles from area 51.   Could it really be a UFO?

On Saturday 23rd August 2008, my husband and I were having a barbeque with a group of friends in our garden in Dorking, Surrey (UK) when, around 21.05hrs, one of our group happened to look upwards and noticed bright orange objects (which to the naked eye appeared orb shaped) traveling silently across the night sky. It was very dark at the time, but relatively clear and there was no wind at all.

We had no idea what they were, so I grabbed my video camera and captured some very interesting footage. When I zoomed in on them, the objects appeared flower shaped - a bright orange circular center surrounded by smaller brighter orange circles (I’ve since extracted some intriguing stills from this footage).

I’ve trawled the internet for information and these things don’t look like either Chinese lanterns or fake ufo/weather balloons. We counted 20+ of them and they traveled (some in clusters, some separately) at a moderate pace and in a very controlled fashion across the night sky, only disappearing as they went past the high trees that surround our garden.

The 13 adults present were awe-struck, none of us had ever seen anything like this spectacle before, but the three children with us were really scared, fearing we were about to be invaded by aliens.

The footage I took looks far more detailed than the videos I’ve seen so far, did anyone else see these things or does anyone know what they could have been?

Reported: 2008-08-28 Sighted: 2008-08-17 – MASSACHUSETTES

At approximately 2:30 pm, two witnesses and I were at a cemetery holding "ghost hunt" research on the graveyard. We had cameras, cell phone & digital camera/video taker present.

We were deciding where we wanted to start first and took a brief look around & talked about it for a brief time. I suggested that we take a look upward from time to time to check out the big expanse of sky above us for any unusual activity that might occur and when i initially said this, i took a look upward in one direction, then turning my head to another part of the sky, I then exclaimed something on the idea of "what the heck is that?"

Both witnesses with me looked skyward where I was looking and we all saw what appeared to be row after row of same sized circles of "vapor" spaced equally in a shape that was a perfect rectangle, traveling overhead diagonally.

I was in disbelief & stood frozen for a short time as we all gazed upward. I remember one witness ask "are you getting this?" and I suddenly snapped out of what I think was a touch of shock & started taking pictures fumbling over my camera options trying to set it on automatic to get still shots before they got too far away. I managed to get a few digital camera shots in. I switched my Kodak easy share 2710 digital camera to video and fumbled for few minutes while I tried to focus on them.

At this time they were further off in the distance and I tried to zoom in on them, but had some difficulty. With my eye & the video, I did notice that a second fleet seemed to come into view further off. I had trouble filming the target because the sun was shining on my back therefore my face was reflecting on the screen where you view what your filming before taking a picture or when taking a video. I had to use my eyes to line up the best I could with the UFO fleet passing by.  One witness didn’t get anything, they were using there cell phone & the other witness did get some still shots in.

Overall what we all had seen that day was highly unidentified, definitely not a plane, or planes. I am certain they were not clouds & certain it was no blimp, or balloons or even planes that make messages in the sky.

They were all the same size, vapor circles, traveling all together in unison, after they went in a cloud (or above) they came out a little disorganized than their regular formation, but kept traveling and apparently there was another group that joined them.

I believe what we saw as unidentified.  I was shocked, excited, baffled, and amazed at the time of sighting & after sighting.  The objects actions and motions were: traveling rather slow, uniform formation of rectangle (like an army) not uniform while further away and no trails were visible on each individual craft.  I did not know what the object was when I first saw it. I was baffled and in a bit of shock, dazed.
I looked upward and noticed the formation after exclaiming that my witness and I should do so now and again while "ghost hunt" was in progress.  We didn’t lose object, object kept traveling quietly into the distance. There was no noise what so ever, except a plane approaching formation of moving objects. I could not find the plane while video taping.
