This particular blog you are in right now began on June 2 of this year and one of my regrets were that most all of Bruce Duensing's greatest articles were written prior to that date. For that reason I have gathered up all of them since the inception of Bruce's Intangible Materiality making my collection in this blog complete with this addition of 57 articles. In Tibetan Buddhism there is a term, "Hungry Ghost" which is a metaphor for people futilely attempting to fulfill their illusory physical desires in the continuum of existence both in life as well as manifesting this behavior afterward, clinging to our sensate realm in death. At times more often than not there is no nuance, discernment or psychology applied to the study of this phenomenon. The fragmented stillbirth of ufology is a case study of a inbred dog chasing it's own tail. This UFO phenomenon has no terrestrial locus of study. We the tax paying citizens of this country fund the services that are performed on our behalf by all governmental bodies as our representatives for the common good. At least that is the foundational theory. Perhaps the best methodology we can utilize in our quest to explore the viability of this theory is to do what no one has done for us. That is, to create a reasonable and mature response to the incidents in Stephenville, Texas by those we retain to provide one and see how close it comes to the performance that our agents have provided to date. If thought is limited by language than the result of thought which is knowledge,then perhaps a great deal of knowledge is perhaps similarly limited and constrained if one identifies consciousness itself with thought. Try a simple experiment, if you concentrate on the content of thought, you lose the direction in which it is heading and if you concentrate on the direction toward which it is advancing, you lose the sharpness of the content. A simultaneous external event such as the arrangement of objects in a relationship propels the movement of thought by associations in awareness which is a momentum or movement in a spacial dimension of "thought objects"
In a quantum situation where the observer and the observed interact to create a third or interpolated reality, perhaps "thought objects" biases the uncertainty principle by archetype, or if you will the conceptualization made manifest by the container it is refracting within which in turn organizes this potential materiality into a shape constrained by the limitations of "thought objects." If we layer cultural stereotypes within this process of individuation, perhaps this is why we see shape shifters among Native Americans, fairy folk among the Celts, abductions in the U.S, goat suckers in South America... none of which apparently cross this line of cultural demarcation..or the shifting of aerial anomalies from airships to saucers to triangular winged craft within a seemingly inexhaustible variety of types from boxes to cylinders to pyramids, cones and so forth? Then we have the ghost ships which ply the water.

From my teenage years to rapidly approaching my sixth decade, I have seen the public chronicles of the paranormal evolve from dime store paperbacks and pulp magazines to tabloid television and infotainment without ever having left the marginalization of being a field left to those who want an existential and vicarious shot of addictive adrenalin or an indirect affirmation of faith outside the confines of organized religion, in the defacto "miracles" of the strange.
The public forum within the confines of commercial media outlets has always been a dicey proposition when it comes to the paranormal especially in terms of the marketplace,where the theatrics of sensationalism have always tainted and stereotyped an interest toward it as a sign of both emotional and intellectual immaturity.
Perhaps the popularization of the paranormal is in effect what keeps it safely ensconced away from prying eyes.

My origin and home is located on the plains of the Midwest, where the emptiness and expanse of the open fields of prairie grasses make this location appear to be both the center of space itself as well as being far beyond the circumference of it. As a young boy and as an adult I experience this world through the spectrum of autism, albeit at the more functional set point of it's range.
