FOUR MORE CROP CIRCLES FOR WILTSHIRE AS APRIL COMES TO AN END


RUTLANDS FARM NEAR AVEBURY
WILTSHIRE

The spiky formation glyph is located approximately a half mile to the North East of the Avebury stone circle and can be viewed from the East bank of the Henge.

Overall diameter of the formation is 298ft. The inner laid circle area measures 66ft diameter. The apparent centre point of the formation, consisting of a tightly bunched knot of Rape-seed (Canola) plants, is offset from actual centre by several feet.

On the ground the glyph is very neat and sharp throughout. A proportion of the laid plants are broken at the base whilst a very substantial proportion are neatly bent with no breakage of bruising. - Report by Charles R Mallett

MORGAN'S HILL NEAR DEVIZES
WILTSHIRE

This formation spans across approximately 308 feet of 5ft high flowering Oil-Seed-Rape and is noted as one of the largest circles ever to appear in this type of crop.  On the ground the plants are laid extremely neatly over the entire formation. LIDDINGTON CASTLE FORT NEAR CHISELDON
WILTSHIRE

After 3 hours of hunting in the field up and down the tram lines, I came across the circle that I was told about. Got totally rained on in the flash storms. This is not visible anywhere near the road. it must be visible from the top of the hill only. But I came upon a small formation that contained 4 circles, 2 outlined and 2 solid. joined by lines. I would say the whole formation would be under 100ft. - Report by Dene Hine

ROUNDWAY HILL, NEAR DEVIZES
WILTSHIRE

This new circle discovered this morning while Olivier (member of the WCCSG team) was flying. It's above the Roundway Hill white horse near Devizes. In rape about 200ft.

This formation was first discovered from the air in the morning of April 29 2009.  The entire formation spans across 230 feet of Oil-Seed-Rape (Canola). The central circle measures 15 feet in diameter. The central circle was very messy and well mashed up by late afternoon on day one. The remainder of the laid crop areas was springy and largely undamaged. - Report by Charles R Mallett.
